GUIDED DIVES

If you’re thinking about booking a week in Tenerife, diving is one of the main activities you should include on your to-do list. It’s the perfect location for individuals who want to learn how to dive, or improve their diving skills. The islands warm climate, volcanic features, wide range of diving sites, clear blue sea and amazing underwater creatures, make this island one of the leading places in the world to dive and explore the beauty of marine life underwater.

The coast of Tenerife is the ideal place for novice and experienced divers to experience the beauty of this island. The great thing about diving is that all age groups and individuals with, or without disabilities, can take part in this activity, thanks to the wide range of dive centres which operate in Tenerife. The various dive sites offer you a wide range of diving experiences. Some of the amazing sights you will see when you dive here include underwater caves, volcanic rocks, marine life and ship wrecks.

Here are a few examples of the dive sites we do regularly:

ABADES

The town of Abades is a small settlement in the south of Tenerife with just a few thousand inhabitants, located in the municipality of Arico, famous among the island’s inhabitants for its abandoned sanatorium for lepers and which today has become a tourist and residential enclave with a fairly family-friendly beach and very easy access.

TABAIBA’S WRECK “EL PEÑÓN”

In Tabaiba lies an old tugboat that, after its useful life, has become an artificial reef and refuge for underwater life.

PLAYA SAN JUAN:

In the south of Tenerife there is a small port where it is easy to see a small colony of rays always hidden in the sand or looking for the remains of the fish that the boats throw overboard daily.

MONTAÑA AMARILLA (YELLOW MOUNTAIN):

Montaña Amarilla is a peaceful dive in the south of Tenerife, on the border between the municipalities of Arona and San Miguel de Abona and just a few kilometres from the airport and major tourist centres.

EL BALITO (MARAZUL):

A not very famous dive in Tenerife with a difficult access, it houses an underwater landscape known for its underwater rock formations and its life. We can found resident moray eels to greet us with their teeth.

ALCALÁ:

Small town situated right on the coast with a very easy access divesite, wheren you can experience from turtles to stingrays.
